Recently a group of Kozy enthusiasts got together and created the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Kozy".....where they ship the same favorite Kozy from family to family around the globe.
The odyssey is part sharing the love of babywearing and part travelogue as the babywearers have plans to showcase the Kozy in front of important national landmarks or just share some Kozy babywearing fun!!
You can follow the progress of the Kozy carrier if you are a member of the babywearing community at www.thebabywearer.com
We will add pictures of the Kozy travels as we get them in. So keep checking back!!
We at Kozy applaud this international promotion of babywearing and are happy to sponsor a contest. We will award a Kozy carrier to the most creative and inventive picture(s) of the Kozy in use in the babywearer's own environment. When the Kozy has concluded it's travels we will ask you, our loyal customers, and Traveling Kozy fans, to please vote for your favorite picture. We will add pictures as we get them in, so keep checking back.
A HUGE thanks to Kristy, creator of The SlingSet for having such a great idea and being so willing to share her Kozy with others.
Thanks to all our Kozy families and Happy Babywearing!"

And The Journey Begins . . . .
In Texas, June 05
The Traveling Kozy resides in Tennessee
The Traveling Kozy was christened at the Mothersville Babywearing workshop with a three-week-old baby.
The Kozy then went to Texas for the sling vendors' meet-up. Here's Darien of Zolowear with her son Clark.
Still in Texas, it's Kristen of Hotslings with her son Quin. That's vesta's porch, by the way--Peppermint.com world headquarters ;-)
Wow, that baby looks bigger
from behind!
. Stopping by Kingston, Ontario, Canada
My hubby, Terry, rented a car for the weekend and the three of us headed out to Fort Henry for our Travelling Kozy pix. Fort Henry is dear to us. We were married there...To bring Gabriel to such a special place closed the circle of time for us, in a way.
Fort Henry is one of Kingston's most famous attractions, http://www.forthenry.com/home.htm Love, Lee, Terry and Baby Gabe
This is the hill leading down from the back of the fort, towards the park we were married in. This is our family...my hubby Terry, my son Gabriel and me!
This is Fort Henry. We didn't go in...but it is magnificent...the cells are a bit scary!...but if you should ever decide to travel to Kingston, I would highly recommend it!
This is the park we were married in...the same spot. It is called "Dead Man's Bay" on Lake Ontario. Poor Terry didn't know what he was getting himself into when he asked me to marry him! LOL!
This is the front of the fort, overlooking the Royal Military College. On a less muggy day, with brighter skies, the views are breathtaking!
Gabriel loves the Kozy! He gets all snuggled against his mama and has sounds sleeps!
We're home from our adventures at Fort Henry. I love my baby!
The Kozy Lands in North Bay, Ontario, Canada
For those of you who are not familiar with our fair city North Bay sites four and a bit hours due north of Toronto, Ontario. We are considered Northern Ontario here in these parts. However, having lived further north our weather often seems balmy to our family! North Bay is a city of 50,000. Originally developed because of the TransCanada rail line. I received the Kozy mid July and set about mulling over what the best North Bay/Canada Kozy pic would be. What first popped into my mind was the old saying "You are not truly Canadian until you have made love in a canoe!" So I wondered; are you truly a Canadian Kozy wearer only after you have Kozy'ed in a canoe. Well canoeing is a big deal for us here, however, not wanting to enter into breaking any local water safety laws (kids in lifejackets:) I decided to search else where for the Kozy photoshoot. This lead me to North Bay's *star* attraction. Our waterfront where our two lovely vintage carousels are located. The North Bay carousels have over 150,000 riders in a single season (May-October). I think that my son makes up his fair share of these rides, well here we are.... Jennifer Gordon www.hipbundles.com

Lake Nippissing at sundown. Just down the street from our home is beautiful lake Nippissing. The city of North Bay curves itself around this beautiful lake. Warm in summer and a huge expanse of snow and ice to explore in the winter, Nippissing's beaches and shores bring both fun and peace to our family.
A little Kozy love at sundown!
Now I *wish* that you could see a full view of the animal I am riding behind my son. Go ahead, can you guess what it is!
What could be just as Canadian as Kozy'ing in a Canoe??? Yes! you've got it! Wearing a Kozy and riding a beaver on a Canadian carousel!
A beaver!! with a Royal Canadian Mounted Police hat on. Now *that* is darn Canadian eh!?
Aili, Myself and Gifford on top of the Trout Lake Sea Horse. This half horse half fish is a beautiful carousel ride on North Bay's Winter Wonderland Carousel.
How do you fit three people on one carousel ride?? Need a Kozy!!
Aili riding "Emma" my all time favorite horse on North Bays Heritage Carousel.
Aili loves to ride and has just started to want to sit on her own. Her very first ride on "Emma" she was wrapped onto my chest, Mother's Day 2005 :)
